Role Summary
The Cryptocurrency Compliance Officer will play a central role in safeguarding the credibility of our brand and the safety of our audience. You will work closely with legal, editorial, and partnerships teams to ensure that every recommendation, review, and integration reflects up-to-date regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify the compliance posture of featured and potential partner casinos, focusing on licensing, KYC/AML controls, responsible gambling tools, and cryptocurrency handling.
- Interpret and monitor changes in crypto gambling regulations, including guidance from regulators, financial intelligence units, and international bodies.
- Draft, refine, and maintain internal compliance policies, playbooks, and due diligence checklists related to the online gambling industry and crypto assets.
- Conduct structured risk assessments of existing and prospective partners, identifying red flags, gaps, or emerging regulatory risks.
- Collaborate with the Content & Editorial team to ensure that all public-facing information accurately reflects current compliance standards and does not mislead users.
- Support periodic audits and spot checks of our listings, guides, and operator profiles to confirm ongoing adherence to internal requirements.
- Advise internal stakeholders on best practices for crypto casino compliance, including data retention, reporting obligations, and partner selection criteria.
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations to leadership on whether to onboard, maintain, or discontinue relationships with specific operators based on risk.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in legal, regulatory, or risk roles, ideally with direct exposure to cryptocurrencies, virtual assets, or the online gambling industry.
